Build 2019 Home and Garden Awards crowned MVB Electrical as Electricians of the year 2019 – Swindon for Best South England Residential Electrical Project: The Long Barn
We are delighted to receive this award and get recognition for our excellent workmanship!
We carried out work on The Long Barn in 2018 and this included creating a bespoke extraction fan above the kitchen area. The extractor fan was suspended from the ceiling. This bespoke extractor fan was carefully designed and due to the height of the ceiling, scaffolding was used to ‘work at height’ to fit it and feed the outlet up through the roof. We restored an authentic Victorian street lamp. It was provided by the client and the request was to adapt it to enable electric light to be output from a bulb in the top. The lamp was installed in the grounds of the property.

A very creative part of our work was the installation of a magnifying wall lamp. This was made with a bulb set behind a magnifying glass to maximise the light output. We love exciting and original ideas, and cannot wait to get started on creative new projects.
